Dulce Capadocia Serving in various capacities as Master Teacher, Adjunct Professor/Lecturer, Visiting or Resident Artist, Dulce Capadocia is privileged to share her joy of dance with everyone. Generous in spirit, her teaching style flows with grace and authority as she mentors students coming from diverse backgrounds and levels. From kindergarden to collegiate, from pre-professional to professional, from amateur adults to training teachers to effectively teach the arts in their classrooms, her teaching credits include universities, schools, cultural and community centers in the U.S. & abroad.

A scholarship recipient of the Professional Development Series of the reputable Music Center's Education Division, she is trained in the VAPA (Visual & Performing Arts) Framework and knowledgable of the dance standards essential to arts education in the schools. Her teaching credits include Datu Lubay Center (Philippines), Temple University (Philadelphia, PA.), Loyola Marymount University, College of the Canyons, Pierce College, Citrus College, University of California (Irvine), Los Angeles Center For International Studies at Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles County High School For The Arts, East West Players, SIPA (Search To Involve Pilipino-Americans), Eskwela Kultura (an arts education program of the Association for the Advancement of Filipino-American Arts & Culture), as well as schools throughout the Los Angeles Unified School District (including Hoover High School and University of Southern California's 32nd Street Magnet School).

In addition to her formal dance training, she specializes in teaching younger children having been trained by Kidd Street Performing Arts Studio's Founder, Timothy Kuster. For over a decade, she served as the Dance Artist in Residence in all of the "Blue Ribbon" (high level performance) elementary schools throughout the Manhattan Beach Unified School District; her well-loved, popular touring dance program was enjoyed by thousands of classroom students, their parents and the school community during her tenure. Sharing her expertise in folk cultures, Dulce can be found teaching the bamboo dance "Tinikling" (considered the national dance of the Philippines) on the Multicultural Folk Dance video published by Human Kinetics (one of the nation's largest publishing houses) and produced by America's most popular dance educator, Christy Lane.

Equipped with extensive teaching experience, Dulce can competently teach every grade and level. Privileged to share her work with everyone of all skills and ages, she continues to work in various teaching capacities. She offers group courses as well as private one-on-one individualized sessions. She is also skilled in teaching large-size assemblies. Teaching sessions can be specifically tailored to meet individual client or class needs.

Dulce Capadocia can be commissioned to come to your community event, institution or campus to teach short or long-term dance workshops, or mount a production of her work from her original repertoire. Tailor made classes and workshops can also be created to suit your needs.
